A recognised expert notably in environmental law, Jocelyn Duval co-heads Kalliopé’s Environment & Industry practice. For over 20 years, he has been advising leading French industrial players on complex matters involving classified facilities, polluted sites and soils, water, waste and protected species, as well as in high-stakes disputes.
He also co-heads the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure practice and is one of the pioneering lawyers in the French renewable energy market. He advises on a wide range of matters (solar, wind, biomass, hydrogen, geothermal, lithium), supporting developers and investors on regulatory aspects, as well as on contract structuring, financing, public-private partnerships, crowdfunding and strategic litigation.
Jocelyn’s commitment goes far beyond client work. He launched Kalliopé’s CSR policy as early as 2008, serves as a moderator for the Fresque du Climat, publishes regularly, gives training courses and lectures on subjects related to his expertise in the energy and ecological transition, and provides pro bono support to young « entreprises à mission ».
This distinction also reflects a collective commitment, both within our law firm and beyond. We strive to reduce the environmental impact of our activities, carefully select our providers based on demanding criteria, and bring our values to life.
In 2022, we launched an artistic sponsorship programme to highlight the work of committed artists. In 2024–2025, we are proud to support the artist Alexis Pichot, whose work invites us to reflect on the relationship between humankind and the environment.
A heartfelt thank you to our clients for their continued trust. Thanks to them, Jocelyn and our teams are able to work on major projects and take concrete action to advance the energy and ecological transition.
