Kalliopé Law Firm advised CGFI Group on the acquisition of Compagnie des Engrais de Longueil (CEL) from its long-standing shareholder, Mr. Emmanuel Renaux.
Based in Longueil-Sainte-Marie (Oise, France), Compagnie des Engrais de Longueil specialises in the granulation and marketing of magnesium, sulphur and specialty products for the agricultural sector. CEL operates an industrial site spanning nearly six hectares on the banks of the River Oise, with both rail and river transport connections.
Founded more than forty years ago in Fort-de-France, CGFI Group, through its agricultural supplies division, specialises in the production of mineral and organic fertilisers, the distribution of agricultural inputs and the production of environmental reagents.
This acquisition is part of CGFI’s strategy to strengthen its position in the fertiliser market. It will support CEL’s continued development by enabling the company to benefit from the Group’s synergies and an expanded product offering.
Kalliopé advised CGFI on all transactional aspects of the acquisition with a team comprising Guillaume Martinet(Partner), Alexia Berbain Faguer (Partner) and Karim Bouhali (Associate). Clément Levalois (CCA Stratégie) advised on the financial aspects of the acquisition.
